I’m Shane Michel. Home is Winder, Georgia, with my wife, Vicki. I like making things, growing things, seeing new places, and sharing the good parts along the way.

Some of my favorite moments are the ordinary ones: time with Vicki, a meal worth slowing down for, and something growing in the yard.
This is the place for all those parts of my life. The things I make, the places we go, and the interests that keep me curious.

Baking and butcher work are a big part of my story. Years in grocery and food operations taught me to care about the ingredients, the process, and the people on the other side of the counter.
There’s satisfaction in getting a loaf right, preparing a good cut, or putting something on the table that people enjoy. It takes patience, practice, and a willingness to try again.
In the yard
Grow a little patience.
Yard farming keeps me close to the seasons. There’s soil to look after, something new to learn, and the reward of bringing food from the garden to the table.
Some things work. Some need another season. I like that it makes you pay attention, slow down, and keep showing up.

I enjoy exploring with Vicki: new places, local food, and the small details that make a trip memorable.
Travel gives me a reason to look a little closer. Sometimes it’s the place itself. Sometimes it’s a meal or a conversation. The best parts are often the ones you couldn’t plan.

I’m also an Operational Systems Architect and full-stack developer. I bring that same attention to the way a business works, the tools people use, and the things that could be a little easier.
